Camp Program Director (Seasonal)
Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Camp Program Director for their 2026 Summer Camp Team. This role involves supervising campers and staff, planning activities, and creating memorable experiences for campers across various camp properties.

Supervise Campers and Staff: The Camp Program Director will develop and implement schedules and procedures while assisting in managing the overall camp operation
Plan & Lead Activities: The Camp Program Director is responsible for planning and delivering fun, safe program activities and events appropriate to the campers' age and abilities
Create Memories: Help make this summer unforgettable for campers—and for yourself!
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas at this time
Must be at least 21 years of age
Experience in administrative/supervisor roles in an environment similar to camp
Experience in the development and delivery of programs and activities for similar populations
Current instructional certification in camp programming or related experience willing to obtain during training
Current certification in first aid and CPR or willing to obtain. Training will be provided
Training and experience in teaching programs to adults and children
Program coordination skills and commitment to the Girl Scout mission
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors
Willingness to live and work in a camp setting, including working nontraditional hours
Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff
Ability to observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques
Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity
Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers
Endurance including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, hiking, climbing, and stretching
Willing to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours with limited or simple equipment and facilities with daily exposure to the sun, heat, and animals such as bugs, snakes, bats, etc
Benefits
$250 Mid-Summer Bonus: Camp staff hired for the summer who remain employed through the end of June will receive a $250 bonus.
$250 Completion Bonus: Camp staff who remain employed through the end of summer camp will receive a $250 bonus.
A complimentary Girl Scout membership is included from May through September 2026.
