Building Automation Analyst
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. The Building Automation Analyst contributes to the strategic vision and planning, development, implementation, functionality and evaluation of building automation systems that support effective operations of mechanical systems and equipment. This role involves managing HVAC systems and providing operational oversight of BAS to ensure a comfortable environment across healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities
Ensure the effective, safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of mechanical systems, building controls, and utilities to provide quality indoor air and a comfortable environment across over 6 million square feet of healthcare space
Daily management of HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems
Operational oversight of building automation systems (BAS)
Assessment, resolution, and programming of HVAC-related controls issues
Manage equipment commissioning, develop and monitor energy-saving processes, and sustain optimal HVAC performance throughout acute care, ambulatory, clinical, academic, laboratory, and business facilities both on and off campus
Oversee assigned operations and capital funds, monitor utility budgets, and provide direction to the operational team
Consult on major initiatives integrating BAS across departments, platforms, and networks
Analyze, test, and implement complex BAS solutions, aligning strategic requirements with evolving business needs
Offer insight and guidance to leaders and peers on BAS strategies, policies, and methodologies
Respond to emergency situations such as mechanical or electrical outages and assist in evaluating and correcting problems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years of relevant experience required
Preferred
2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
