Qualification

Ph.D. in Civil EngineeringPh.D. in Environmental EngineeringProfessional Engineer RegistrationTeaching ExperienceAdvising StudentsOutreach ActivitiesInterpersonal SkillsCommunication Skills

Required

A Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or closely related discipline by the start of employment
Undergraduate and masters degrees in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields
The ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and faculty
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Preferred

Record of successful teaching experience at the college level
Registration as a Professional Engineer, having either successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, or having a relevant certification in the field of Environmental Engineering
Relevant Industrial Experience
Demonstrated competencies in advising undergraduate students, participating in outreach activities, and contributing to ongoing efforts to enhance the department's educational mission
Evidence of a strong commitment to internal and external service
Statement of service activities and interests
