Responsibilities
Manage cases from investigation through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and trials
Draft pleadings, dispositive and discovery motions, and appellate briefs
Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients; oversee discovery and e discovery
Communicate directly with clients, experts, co counsel, and opposing counsel; participate in settlement negotiations
Supervise and mentor junior team members and collaborate with staff
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York Bar in good standing
2-4 years of commercial and/or Real Estate litigation experience in New York state and/or federal courts
Strong brief writing, research, and oral advocacy skills; comfort taking/defending depositions and appearing in court
Sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
Team oriented mindset with professionalism and client service focus
