Equipment Athletic Facilities Manager I

They are seeking an Equipment Athletic Facilities Manager I to oversee the management, purchasing, and maintenance of athletic equipment and facilities, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and distributed.

Responsibilities
Assist with all practice uniforms and game uniforms to teams, coaches, or individual athletes
Assist daily maintenance of equipment, which includes laundering, repair, and general up keep of all equipment
Hires and trains volunteers/inters with athletics equipment duties
Purchases athletic equipment; orders equipment according to department procedures; check in equipment upon delivery to verify receipt
Monitors maintenance of machines used in equipment maintenance; performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance and/or arranges for repairs as necessary
Prepares equipment for distribution such as stamping names or numbers on equipment in order to track it
Maintains accurate records, files, and computer software regarding equipment check out
Stores and packs sporting equipment appropriately when not in use
Assist for putting FIU team logos on all team issues apparel and equipment
Helps coordinate the preparation of facilities for inter-collegiate athletic team practices and contests
Maintains confidentiality for the department. Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity any matter pertaining to medical, academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletic Department
Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Equipment Athletics Facilities Manager. Reports any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations
Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, storms, and/or any other university emergency closing. Is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator
Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of relevant experience; OR five (5) years of relevant experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to travel locally
Driver's License Check
