Responsibilities
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in compliance with GAAP
Perform timely account analysis and account reconciliations for selected accounts
Research accounting questions and variances, determine the proper accounting treatment, and recommend corrections to the transaction originator
Assist with developing, documenting, implementing, and managing accounting processes, controls, and systems
Assist with interim and annual audits, annual budgets, preparation of supporting schedules, analyses and audited financial statement documentation
Ensure controls and procedural compliance for Sarbanes-Oxley
Research accounting issues as needed
Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and optimize accounting processes, systems, and reporting
Assist with Implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability as the company grows
Assist other co-workers with related tasks as necessary
Assist with Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Cross train to support small accounting team
Support six distributions centers with accounting and operational support as needed
Perform and ensure the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data
Provide analysis and reporting for selected accounting and operational items, as well as assistance with project work and ad-hoc reporting as necessary
Assist with developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures and policies to ensure proper internal control and compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, including periodic controls documentation updates and testing
Qualification
Required
BS in Accounting or comparable business degree is required
Minimum 4+ years of experience in an accounting role
Minimum 2+ years in an accounting close
Experience with Microsoft Dynamic GP 2018 and SalesPad for GP
Preferred
Microsoft Excel experience is preferred
