Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design process for complex features and products
Collaborate with engineers throughout the design process
Partner with designers across Alexa to adopt and extend existing design systems
Contribute to Figma libraries and share learnings with the team
Incorporate insights from relevant Alexa research and run user research with Dscout
Partner with peer designers, product and tech owners, marketing, solutions architects, and business development to ensure the customer remains at the center of decision-making
Design net-new concepts that enhance customer enjoyment
Run user research to test customer responses to experiences being designed
Partner with solutions architects to build working prototypes for conversational experiences
Qualification
Required
7+ years of design experience
Have an available online portfolio
Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
Preferred
Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
Experience designing in an agile development environment
Ability to read, understand, and consult on client-side engineering to extend design systems
