The Building Maintenance Engineer will assist in daily engineering tasks and maintenance activities at the Desert Diamond Arena, ensuring the facility is safe and operational for events.
Entertainment
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain all aspects of general building maintenance, to include Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC and drywall/painting
Participate in daily rounds of Chiller Plant and Boiler room. Also to include, weekly testing of backup generator and fire pump
Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor to maintain the integrity and safety of the facility
Perform scheduled maintenance and daily maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, and other building systems
Train within the engineering department to maintain a basic to mid-level competency of all job functions and skills of the department
Basic computer skills needed for e-mails and work order system
Other duties as assigned
Assist with contractors as needed
Qualification
Required
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work flexible hours based on events, including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays, as needed
Self motivation
Quality workmanship
Must be able to use ladders, lifts, fork lifts, up to 25'
Reliability and dependability are paramount
A minimum education level High School Diploma or its equivalency. Trade school a plus
A minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Ability to lift/push/pull or otherwise move 25lbs or more
Strong Customer Service
Excellent communication, trouble shooting and organizational skills required
Customer service and public relations skills required
