The successful candidate will assist project managers with geotechnical evaluations and construction projects, performing various engineering calculations and evaluations.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Assist project managers in the performance of geotechnical field evaluations
Forensic assessments
Construction projects
Geotechnical subsurface evaluations
Supervision of excavation subcontractors
Logging and classification of soils in the field
Performance of floor level surveys
Documentation of distressed structures
Assistance in reviewing construction documents including plans and specifications
Compilation of geotechnical laboratory test data
Geotechnical calculations
Performance of engineering calculations for slope stability
Lateral earth pressure
Foundation capacity
Settlements
Deep foundation design
Qualification
Required
B.S. / B.A. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Engineering
Engineer-in-training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) certification
At least 2 years of experience in geotechnical consulting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude
Good organizational skills
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Preferred
M.S. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Engineering
