Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

They are seeking a Senior Accountant to contribute to the financial reporting team, participating in financial statement preparation and technical accounting research while collaborating with various internal teams.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q/K
Prepare, update and maintain technical accounting memos that document issues in a clear, concise and logical manner
Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of detailed schedules supporting footnote disclosures and MD&A included in financial statements and SEC filings
Work with the accounting team to research new accounting standards and technical issues; analyze their relevance for and impact to the company and document in formal memos
Maintain relevant internal control activities and SOX compliance
Willingness to learn about and assist in preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions
Other duties as assigned to support overall department objectives

Required

Skills in use of financial analysis software
Knowledge of accounting theory and application of financial and accounting principles
Knowledge of computer modeling and financial forecasting
Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent problem-solving abilities to tackle complex and critical issues
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage executive leadership
In-depth knowledge in corporate accounting and finance principles
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Working knowledge of US GAAP and applicable SEC regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Well-developed oral and written communication skills and analytical abilities
Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize work
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork
Exceptional computer skills; expertise with MS Office (specifically Excel)
Experience with SAP or comparable ERP system

Preferred

CPA and/or advanced degree preferred
3-6 years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or equivalent industry experience
