Research Associate - Lentivirus production
ImmunoVec is a biotechnology company pioneering in vivo cell engineering through viral and non-viral DNA delivery. The Research Associate will adapt and execute protocols to produce high quality, high titer lentivirus, contributing to the production and screening of hundreds of viruses weekly for pre-clinical research.

Responsibilities
Crypreserve, thaw, and culture cell lines (primarily HEK293T and HT29) using aseptic technique
Transduce cultures of HEK293T cells with lentiviral plasmids to produce virus-like particles
Determine the titer of each viral prep using transduction assays and confirm the genetic sequence of packaged viruses using PCR followed by DNA sequencing
Collect, aliquot, and store viruses using our protocols that are optimized to produce ~120 unique viruses per week in formats that are ideal for high throughput screening
Maintain an up to date inventory of stored viruses and their genetic sequences
Concentrate large lentiviral preps via ultracentrifugation
Present the results of your work to the R&D team
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related field and substantial experience in lentivirus production
Experience in fast-paced, large scale laboratory operations, e.g. screening projects
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
