Research Specialist I
The University of Missouri-Columbia is looking for a Research Specialist I in the School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology. This role involves assisting postdoctoral fellows and the Principal Investigator in conducting experiments, maintaining lab inventories, and managing mouse colonies.
Education
Responsibilities
Assist postdoctoral fellow and PI in conducting in vivo and in vitro experiments
Maintaining mouse colonies and census
Maintaining lab inventories and purchasing chemicals and reagents
Preparing and autoclaving buffers and reagents required for the experiments in the lab
Collection and record keeping of clinical specimens for experimental use
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
At least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired
