Anti-Trafficking Applied Data Engineer Volunteer
Love Justice International (LJI) is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to fighting the world’s greatest injustices, particularly human trafficking. They are seeking an Anti-Trafficking Applied Data Engineer Volunteer to implement machine learning models and optimize data infrastructure to support their mission of combating trafficking and improving their data-driven interventions.

Responsibilities
Implementing and deploying machine learning models and data analytics solutions into scalable, production-ready applications
Designing and optimizing data pipelines to support real-time and batch-processing of anti-trafficking data
Collaborating with data scientists and software engineers to integrate insights into actionable systems and decision-making tools
Enhancing data storage, retrieval, and processing efficiency to support intelligence-led investigations and trend analysis
Improving and maintaining LJI’s data architecture to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and security across various data sources
Qualification
Required
A strong commitment to social justice and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations
Highly self-motivated with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, machine learning engineering, or a related role
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and relevant data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar frameworks)
Preferred
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production environments
