Responsibilities
Own general ledger accounting including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and close activities
Lead month end and year end close processes in line with GAAP
Play a key role in inventory accounting including valuation, reconciliations, reserves and controls
Partner with operations and supply chain on inventory movements, cost of goods and variances
Support external audits and act as a primary point of contact for auditors
Research and support technical accounting topics and policy documentation
Build and improve accounting processes, controls and internal documentation
Support system improvements and automation initiatives as the business scales
Work cross functionally with finance, operations and commercial teams
Qualification
Required
3–8 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and hands on close ownership
Meaningful experience with inventory accounting in a CPG, manufacturing or similar environment
Experience building or improving accounting processes and controls
Comfortable operating in a fast paced, growth stage business
Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across teams
Preferred
Public accounting background strongly preferred
CPA preferred but not required
