Responsibilities

Plan, develop, implement, coordinate, facilitate, and report on the evaluation plans and surveillance activities for the Minnesota Stroke Program
Lead and execute all aspects of planning, facilitation, delivery, and implementation of the statewide Minnesota Stroke Portal. Provide leadership, consultation, and technical support to internal and external partners related to the use of the data system and provide leadership on efforts to use technology to connect data systems, data exchanges, and interoperability across program areas
Provide expert consultation, guidance, and direction on evaluation and research methodology, data analysis, and program monitoring related to stroke and associated cardiovascular health conditions. Offer technical assistance to MDH staff, as well as community and clinical partners, to support the implementation of initiatives and to ensure the integration of health equity principles throughout all activities
Lead the development and preparation of publications, reports, and oral and poster presentations that effectively communicate the impact and outcomes of the stroke program and statewide stroke system of care

Required

Four (4) years of research experience including the following:
Experience conducting surveillance activities, including evaluation and reporting
Experience planning and designing research studies and performing data analysis, including data collection and monitoring systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of scientific, experimental, statistical, and research design methodology
Knowledge of the health care system, chronic disease surveillance data resources, methodologies, and literature

Preferred

Degree in health informatics, statistics, epidemiology, public health, or closely related field
Experience conducting advanced research in the areas of stroke or cardiovascular health
