Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including design-build, construction management, and general contractor agreements
Advise on regulatory compliance and permitting requirements
Manage construction-related disputes, including claims and litigation
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation
Manage contractor licensing requirement programs to ensure all contractors meet legal and regulatory standards
Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments affecting construction law
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university
6-8 years of experience in construction law, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Licensed to practice law in the U.S. (Ohio preferred)
