Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate all fiscal activities for the Eastern Shore Hospital Center in accordance with policies and procedures for fiscal services to meet departmental, State, and other funding sources laws and requirements
Formulation of operating budgets
Monitoring of expenditures
Manage patient fund accounts
Development of quarterly projections
Managing year end close out
Developing and implementing fiscal policies
Ensuring compliance with departmental and State fiscal policies and procedures
Overseeing procurement activities
Supervising staff
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 30 credit hours in accounting and related courses, including or supplemented by 3 credit hours in auditing
Three years of experience examining, analyzing and interpreting accounting systems, records and reports by applying generally accepted accounting principles
Preferred
Experience with State of Maryland accounting systems
Experience with managing a fiscal department
Experience communicating effectively with internal departments and external agencies
