Project Manager – Drilling – Los Alamos, NM

They are seeking a Project Manager – Drilling to ensure all drilling activities are executed safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements, while supporting program management and ensuring operational safety.

Responsibilities
Confirm that implemented procedures adhere to section technical requirements
Develop, coordinate, and review project documents, reports, and other submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements, schedule, and budget
Collaborate with the Program Manager to provide technical direction and communicate project details
Track project costs, schedules, and variances in coordination with the Project Management Office, Drilling STR, and Program Manager
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns
Additional duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education
At least 10 years of experience in drilling/pump/environmental project management
Practical knowledge of environmental sciences for utilizing scientific data
Ability to execute strategic tasks independently and impact organizational success
Experience managing large-scale projects, defining scope, objectives, and methods
Strong communication skills, including the ability to train and mentor junior staff
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions
Must be a U.S Citizen
Preferred
Preferred experience with water well drilling and pump operations
Familiarity with LANL site work environment and other DOE environmental sites is preferred
Knowledge of EVMS and P6 systems is preferred
PMP certification or training is preferred
