Vice President of Advancement
Chatham Place at Mary Wade is seeking a full-time Vice President of Advancement to lead their advancement programs and foster a culture of philanthropy. The role involves developing fundraising strategies, managing donor relations, and overseeing marketing efforts to support the organization's mission and comprehensive capital campaign.

Responsibilities
Accurately and effectively communicates the mission of the organization
Fosters close interaction and teamwork among the development and marketing team and the rest of the organization
Develop numerous efficient and compelling opportunities for donors to give support; makes those experiences satisfying and rewarding for the donors
Designs, implements and manages all fundraising activities including annual giving, endowment and capital campaigns, special projects and other organizational solicitations
Designs, implements, and manages all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations
Supervises and provides direction and guidance to marketing and development team
Maintains contact with and develops grant proposals for foundations and corporations
Coordinates development and distribution of an Annual Report/Honor Roll of Donors
Develops and implements family and program based fundraising programs within the Annual Fund
Develops a comprehensive planned-giving program
Regularly visit prospects and prospective donors to strengthen relationships and discover new development opportunities
Supervises and oversees the work of the department staff and ensures that policies and procedures are in place in accordance with best practice
Develops and maintains strong positive community relations with the neighborhood
Represents Mary Wade during community projects and at public, social, and business gatherings. Works with the Development Committee of the Board of Managers and CEO to develop strategies to initiate and meet all fundraising and marketing goals
Creates office systems to support all Development projects and operations
Oversees the management and maintenance of the donor database and maintains a database for continued contact with families/former families
Supports family and donor relationships by attending Advisory Council meetings and family council meetings
Ability to be responsible for Advancement and Development department and managing employees
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years professional experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience in designing and managing development
Experience with developing and maintaining productive working relationships with board members, families, donors, and administration
Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a healthcare setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred
Previous supervisory experience a plus
