Responsibilities
Conduct requirements analysis, definition, management, and functional analysis for system elements with minimal supervision
Perform technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses
Develop and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet governmental security specifications
Provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure technical security features function properly
Lead Modeling and Simulation activities and contribute to detailed technical analyses at the system of system (SOS) level
Research and analyze data to determine feasibility of design or application, and support technical engineering product generation throughout the system development life cycle
Provide leadership and direction to lower-level employees and lead technical tasks for small teams or projects
Participate in or lead Statement of Work (SOW) generation for subcontracts and exercise latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments
Engage frequently with managers, project teams, external customers, and vendors to ensure successful project completion
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time but preferred at time of hire
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
Senior solution expert/architect requiring leadership, infrastructure/Operating system, and software process experience
Expertise in Linux and systems infrastructure support
Strong understanding of operating systems and the systems development life cycle
Proven leadership in managing systems development projects
Ability to apply technical standards and methodologies to solve complex problems
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on achieving win-win solutions for customers
Excellent understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Creative thinker with the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively
Understanding of basic project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls
Preferred
Agile experience preferred
Strategic planning, infrastructure roadmapping, and high collaboration/messaging strategy skills
