The Financial Counselor will work as part of a team to screen treatments for eligibility, verify insurance benefits, and enroll patients into assistance programs, all while maintaining strong communication with clients and ensuring patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Screen all active treatments for eligibility of enrollment into different pharmaceutical and nonprofit programs by reports and task list via AssistPoint®

Verify patients insurance benefits, as needed

Complete financial cost estimates, as needed

Obtain prior authorizations, as needed

Review patients’ financial capabilities if not covered by insurance

Enroll patients into programs with proper documentation via PDF or digital portal

Communicate directly with on-site client staff to ensure signatures on paperwork and prescriptions to submit to the patient assistance programs

Reviewing and ensuring all patients for both medical and pharmacy services have been searched and enrolled for assistance

Ensure proper workflow by directly working with your Account Lead

Provide timely solutions to clients’ problems, build sustainable and continuous relationships with clients, show initiative and drive when dealing with client requests

Researching and resolving any outstanding concerns raised by clients

Respect the dignity and confidentiality of patients

Assist with training and orientation of new employees as assigned

Perform other duties as assigned
