The Asphalt Pavement Engineer will be responsible for designing pavements, managing pavement systems, and conducting forensic evaluations, while also mentoring junior staff and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

Perform pavement design and subgrade thickness evaluations
Develop and manage pavement management systems
Conduct forensic evaluations of pavement failures
Write engineering analyses and technical reports
Create asphalt mix designs and evaluate pavement materials
Review laboratory reports and pavement specifications for roadways, highways, parking lots, and airports
Mentor and train junior engineering staff
Provide leadership and maintain strong client relationships
Support marketing and business development activities
Review and provide direction on engineering work products
Prepare, review, and sign pavement proposals and reports

Required

B.S. in Civil Engineering
M.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis or concentration in pavements
Active Civil Engineering PE license
10+ years of pavement engineering experience
Strong background in civil engineering principles
Experience performing pavement design, forensic evaluations, mix designs, and related tasks
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal, and written communication skills
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
Strong problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and solid work ethic

Preferred

Familiarity with construction and paving activities
