Test Engineer I

Advanced Energy is a global leader in precision power conversion solutions, headquartered in Denver, Colorado. They are seeking a Test Development Engineer to design and implement manufacturing tests for high frequency, high voltage circuits, ensuring high quality standards and providing feedback to design teams.

Responsibilities

Ensure testability and serviceability of new product designs, providing feedback to design teams addressing opportunities for defects in manufacturing and field use
Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, completes specifications and procedures for new products and for product design changes throughout the product’s lifecycle
Accurately estimate project costs and schedules associated with implementing test solutions
Owns test requirements from the vendor, to shipment, to the customer
Verify products meet their functional requirements - including design verification and manufacturing screens
Analyze capabilities and ensure control of critical parameters of products and test equipment

Required

Strong understanding of manufacturing test environment
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to influence design team decisions
Demonstrated experience solving complex technical problems with minimal assistance
Ability to manage multiple projects
Expertise in programming automation and data collection
Object Oriented Programming Skills
6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology
Programming experience in NI Labview and TestStand, C++, SQL, and/or Python
Product test development experience
Experience with a variety of General-Purpose Test Equipment use and automation. Including: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, DAQs, and Switches
Source Code control experience
Experience in power supply testing or design
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant engineering discipline
