HR Generalist
Crossroads Church is a growing multi-site, interdenominational church. They are seeking an HR Generalist to manage recruitment, compliance with employment laws, and employee relations, while also developing training programs and administering benefits.
Responsibilities
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Analyzes and interprets HR data to make informed recommendations to managers and senior leadership
Consults with leaders as it relates to employee relation issues, using knowledge of employee policies and state and federal employment law to advise properly
Develops training programs supporting talent management initiatives
Administers benefits and ensures compliance according to church policies and procedures
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs. This includes but is not limited to; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
Leverages helpdesk ticketing system to address a wide variety of employee questions and needs
Supports leaders in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Qualification
Required
Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
Exceptional HRIS System experience
Highly efficient and organized
Ability to leverage project management skills to manage multiple priorities
Superior verbal/written skills
Ability to work effectively on a team and collaborate with other ministries
HR skills and knowledge and passion demonstrated by direct time in HR or SHRM or other certification
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentations
Must commit to expectations detailed in the 'I Promise' document, including using the bible as the ultimate standard of truth, practicing spiritual disciplines and pursuing personal purity

Availability: Expected to work outside of 'normal' schedule for All Hands on Deck high-impact events (Holy Week/Easter, Super Bowl, Christmas, others as needed), participate in all-staff meetings, day of solitude, offsites, etc
