Responsibilities
Defines, designs, and oversees the systems and applications architecture for current and future technology products and business applications
Manages application and/or infrastructure development projects, including modifying existing architectures and integrating products and systems into existing designs
Understands product vision and business requirements to define product architectures and works with product managers to plan and execute new product releases
Drives standard and efficient applications and infrastructure design by aligning product roadmaps with business strategies, vendor roadmaps, and service capabilities
Contributes to the development of technology strategies, including driving requirements gathering, collecting existing deployment plans, synthesizing business goals, and developing operating strategies
Works with technology teams on issues needing deep technical expertise and complex systems knowledge
Evaluates new and emerging technologies and developmental methodologies to find faster, cost effective, and more reliable solutions for existing and proposed systems and evaluates strategic fit for the organization
Manages, coaches, and/or trains architects and technical team members
Qualification
Required
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline
Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field
May require certification
Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines
Preferred
Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
9+ years of experience designing and implementing product architectures on a variety of computing platforms
Previous experience implementing, converting, and managing technologies
Deep understanding of the interactions and complexities between technology systems, applications, and services
