NDI Technician II
Yulista Contract Services LLC is a company specializing in aerospace services, and they are seeking an NDI Technician II to inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment. Responsibilities
Determine required test / inspection method, or nondestructive inspection
Performs nondestructive inspection on structures, components, and systems
Detects flaws such as cracks, delamination’s, voids, processing defects, and heat damage using penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, radiographic, optical, and ultrasonic test equipment
Interprets nondestructive inspection test results and provides information to leadership
Determines metallurgical information of components according to alloy, temper, conductivity, and associated factors
Operates, maintains, and inspects nondestructive equipment. Performs operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools
Possess knowledge in the use of and be able to train others in the use of a wide variety of diagnostics devices, computers, hand and mechanical tools
Provide oversight and may direct and train others in the completion of aircraft related maintenance tasks
Assist in the repair, inspection and maintenance of structural, mechanical and electrical elements of the aircraft
Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements
Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards and company processes
Operates and maintains related aircraft Support Equipment (SE)
Use automated maintenance systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and time change database
Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks
Maintain strict tool control procedures. Report missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor. Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and replace worn or broken tools
Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day to day maintenance. Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor
Maintain equipment records. Enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verify the work was performed satisfactorily
May include Designated System Inspector (DSI) duties
The NDI Technician will be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Non-Destructive Testing NAS410 Level II certification or previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A752 required as a minimum
8+ years of aircraft maintenance NDT experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required
Experience supporting DoD contracts
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
Preferred
Previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A772 highly desirable
C-130 experience a plus
