Responsibilities

Perform optical or electrical testing and characterization as specified by work instructions
Independently follow test procedures and record detailed test data in travelers and MES
Document test failures in the failure reporting system
Support the maintenance of cleanroom test equipment and tooling
Work is typically performed in a Cleanroom environment which requires proper safety precautions
Work on split/second shift and weekends as needed

Testing electromechanical assembliesOptical testing equipmentBasic electrical principlesPhotonic principlesMicroelectronic assemblyFollowing work instructions

Required

Experience testing custom, complex electromechanical and optical assemblies
Use of optical sources, power meters, and optical spectrum analyzers to test optical components
General understanding of basic electrical and photonic principles
Ability to follow detailed work instructions or test procedures
Associate degree in a related technical field is desirable
5 years of related experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience

Preferred

Microelectronic assembly experience a plus
