Responsibilities

Develop and fundamental understanding of layout plans, process and procedures and construction environments
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates with direct guidance from management staff
Provide ancillary support to preconstruction effort such as document control, correspondence internal/external, material research etc
Conduct quantity take-offs and build a foundational understanding systems takeoff with oversight from management personnel
Training and understanding of cost model processes, outreach and validation
Collaborate with preconstruction, operational and opportunity stakeholders
Assist in preparation and submit comprehensive bid packages in a timely and accurate manner
Engage in training, site walks and all opportunities and tasks assigned by Chief Estimators
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in cost estimating and construction methods
Continuously seek opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the estimating process

Required

Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of successful project estimates
Experience in industrial projects is highly desirable
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Sage Estimating)
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
