Federal SaaS Account Executive - New Business
District Partners is supporting a search for multiple Federal Account Executives with a high-growth software company serving U.S. government customers. This role involves driving net-new federal sales, engaging with program and policy decision-makers, and managing complex procurement processes.
Responsibilities
Drive net-new federal revenue from first contact through close
Research agency programs and identify mission-aligned opportunities
Engage program, policy, and operational decision-makers (not just IT)
Lead consultative sales discussions with senior federal stakeholders
Manage complex, long-cycle federal procurement processes end to end
Qualification
Required
Proven experience closing net-new business into U.S. federal agencies
Success selling into program-owned or business-led buying environments
Strong understanding of federal acquisition and decision-making structures
Executive presence and comfort leading consultative sales cycles
Experience selling software or technology solutions in regulated environments
Preferred
Location: DMV or Mid-Atlantic preferred; strong federal sellers elsewhere considered
Travel: 25–40% travel to the DMV for federal client meetings
