Provide a premium opportunity for high performing students that desire a STEM career
Promote partnership among the students, parents, school, and Oshkosh Corporation
Prepare students for an engineering career
Offer a real-world educational experience by partnering the student with an engineer for on the job shadowing, team projects, field trips, and guest speakers
Provide students with a link between secondary and university education
15 Month Program
High School Seniors for the 2026-2027 academic year are eligible
Students Are Exposed To Multiple Engineering Disciplines Including Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering and Materials Engineering
Program includes 450 hours of project work assigned by engineering professionals over the course of one year
Qualification

High School Seniors for the 2026-2027 academic year are eligible
Students must desire a STEM career
Students must be high performing
Students must be willing to participate in a 15 month long program focused on core technical engineering skills
Students must be able to accommodate scheduling challenges unique to high school students
Students must be able to complete 450 hours of project work assigned by engineering professionals over the course of one year
Benefits
.5 credits for each semester for completion of the Apprentice Program.
