The Transportation Planning Intern will work alongside the Woolpert Transportation group on various projects, applying GIS mapping and analysis, graphics support, public involvement, client communications, and report production.

Responsibilities

Work as part of the Woolpert Transportation Group

Gain real-world experience working alongside planners, architects, engineers and other designers

Learn about developing plans that are customized to each of our client’s needs as well as the planning context in order to establish a long-range vision for sustainable, equitable, and safe multimodal transportation networks and communities

Required

Be an investigative learner, ask questions and demonstrate curiosity to learn more

Have a general understanding and working knowledge of various graphics capability including ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and related programs

Have strong written and verbal communication skills

Function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Have exceptional multitasking and time management skills

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment

Must be a U.S citizen to apply for this role

Preferred

Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least third-year status

Be studying Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Sustainability or a related field
