Responsibilities
Assisting special needs adults with activities such as crafts, community outings and life skills
Observing and reporting on the accomplishments of participants
Maintaining a safe and clean environment
Transporting participants in the community using an Agency vehicle for learning, engagement and fun activities
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
Current driver's license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - offered by Lifesteps
First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - offered by Lifesteps
Preferred
One-year experience working with individuals in human services field
Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE)
Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP)
Associates or bachelor's degree in education, special education, sociology, social work, rehabilitation, counseling, therapy, transition programming, or any other major
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
