Responsibilities

Lead substation projects from proposal preparation to project execution, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
Go through the RFP and understand the project scopes, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with senior engineers and project managers
Ensure proper physical design of substation layouts and equipment installations
Understand and coordinate Protection & Control (P&C) requirements and integration with overall design
Support estimation activities including cost analysis, material take offs, and vendor quotations
Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and client requirements
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve design, engineering, and construction issues
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafting staff
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and project delivery processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
3–7 years of experience in substation engineering or EPC projects
Strong understanding of substation equipment, layouts, and construction practices
Knowledge of Protection & Control (P&C) systems
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines

Preferred

Experience with AutoCAD and general electrical design tools would be plus
Background in estimation and cost analysis is highly desirable
