Critical Facilities Technician - NOC Shift - CH1

The Critical Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring uptime and reliability of critical systems, including power distribution and cooling, while collaborating with engineering teams to maintain high standards of safety and performance.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations
Monitor power and environmental conditions within all critical spaces within the facility
Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS
Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities
Escort and support outside contractors, ensuring they are abiding SF work rules and processes
Respond to site incidents, execute appropriate MOP/EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event
Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures
Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management
Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management
Adhere to all local, state and federal safety laws and requirements
Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site
Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards
Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure

Required

Experience working in a Data Center with proven success in delivering customer requirements in a critical technology environment
Operating and maintaining chilled water-cooling systems
Operating and maintaining DX cooling systems
Operating and maintaining backup electrical systems such as UPS and generators
Operating Building Management systems and Fire alarm and detection systems
Building facility maintenance
Evidence of self-management and alignment with ever-changing priorities
Good written and oral communication skills, tenacity, and working to a high level of accuracy
