Responsibilities

Perform Mechanical Engineering development and design functions in support of Automated Test Equipment
Develop overall Mechanical Designs, including Modeling/Model Based Design, Parts Selection, and supporting drawing documentation
Perform Environmental Analyses (Tip, Thermal, Shock/Vibration)
Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems
Support production environment in researching obsolescence COTS and customer hardware to meet requirements
Design, assessment, troubleshooting of Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
Present design for cross functional peer reviews
Apply site policy and procedures

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering related discipline
Demonstrated understanding of structures, mechanisms and materials
Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical modeling or analysis tools, such as CREO/Solidworks
Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts
Ability to obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance
U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration

Preferred

Proficient in Windchill/EPDM
Structural and thermo-structural knowledge and analysis capability is a plus
Prior Automated Test Equipment Experience
Experience with Engineering Change Control processes
