Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative is a transmission cooperative delivering power to northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa. They are seeking an IT & Communications intern to provide hands-on experience supporting network and communications systems within a utility environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, configuration and testing of new network and communications equipment

Perform updates, audits and maintenance within fiber management software to ensure data accuracy and network integrity

Manage and track inventory, including equipment issuance, returns and documentation of assets

Collaborate with technical staff to document procedures, update diagrams and maintain system records

Required

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Highly proficient with personal computers and associated applications

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
