The City of Virginia Beach is recruiting for a team player to join Public Works Engineering to support implementation of the City’s stormwater pollution prevention programs and water quality improvement projects. The selected candidate will manage various pollution prevention programs and coordinate with city departments and outside agencies.

Responsibilities
Manage pollution prevention programs associated with city operations under the City Facilities and Industrial High Risk Runoff requirements of the MS4 permit. Responsibilities include management of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans at identified city facilities, perform site inspections, review inspection reports, and provide staff training
Develop and update standard operating procedures
Manage design and construction of stormwater pollution prevention and water quality improvement projects
Coordinate with staff in various city departments and outside agencies
Contract management
Communicate with City departments and the public
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
Experience in stormwater management or environmental engineering
Knowledge of MS4 permit requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with contract management
Ability to work collaboratively with various city departments and outside agencies
