They are seeking a current undergraduate for a summer internship on their Medical Robotics team, where the intern will assist in testing, prototyping, and developing manufacturing methods for medical robots.

Responsibilities
Assist with extensive testing, including on the bench and in tissue models
Conceive of, design, build, test, and evolve prototypes
Design and implement fixtures that can be used for design and manufacturing optimization
CAD components and assemblies
Develop test methods, protocols, and reports to evaluate components, systems, and processes
Create manufacturing methods & documentation, including Manufacturing Process Instructions and Bills of Materials
Perform analytical calculations
Work closely with vendors
Work well both independently and as part of a fast-moving, collaborative team
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical / Biomechanical Engineering. Related majors are acceptable
Applicants must be returning to finish their education after the duration of the internship
Significant hands-on engineering experience and aptitude is a must
Familiarity working with electromechanical systems and data analysis with Matlab/Python
Familiarity with basic hand tools and fabrication methods such as machining, injection molding, and 3D printing
Inventive and balanced with discipline and attention to detail
A demonstrated desire to play an important role in a small, lean, medical device start-up
Willing to commit to at least 10 to 12 weeks, ideally longer
Expectation is to work on-site during normal business hours
