Responsibilities

Collaborate with sales, technical, and delivery teams to understand client business goals and architect solutions
Lead pre-sales technical discussions and presentations with clients and prospects
Design and propose scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions using technologies including (but not limited to) IBM, Red Hat, and third-party platforms
Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), technical documentation, and solution blueprints
Stay current on emerging technologies, product offerings, and market trends
Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to support business development
Participate in RFP/RFI responses and solution presentations

Required

Hands-on experience with at least two of the following technologies: Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes, IBM Storage, IBM Power Systems, IBM Watsonx / AI platforms - Orchestrate, IBM Cloud, Power VS (Virtual Servers), Virtual Tape Libraries (Cybernetics / FalconStor), HashiCorp (Terraform, Vault, etc.), IBM Security tools: Guardium, Defender, Networking (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco – design & support), Apptio, Turbonomic – IT optimization platforms
Proven experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role
Strong communication skills to convey complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
Strong documentation and presentation skills
Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or events

Preferred

IBM or Red Hat Certifications (e.g., RHCE, IBM Certified Solution Architect)
Experience working with MSPs, VARs, or in a consulting environment
Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps, or Agile methodologies
Prior experience with IBM licensing, support models, or partner programs
