Responsibilities

Serve as field lead for characterization, remediation, groundwater exploration, and aquifer studies

Oversee drilling subcontractors and well construction

Collect soil, water, air, and other environmental samples following established protocols

Maintain and calibrate sampling and monitoring equipment

Record and manage field data, notes, and photo logs

Assist with environmental report preparation and remedial alternative evaluations

Perform property due diligence including environmental and property condition assessments and associated reporting

Participate in occasional emergency response efforts related to petroleum or other releases

Evaluate chemical and stratigraphic data; prepare tables, figures, and time-series graphs

Learn and contribute to Apex’s safety culture

Adhere to health and safety guidelines

Report safety concerns promptly

Required

3+ years in due diligence and site assessments including drilling oversight, well installation, environmental sampling, subsurface investigations, and GIS mapping

BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field

OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour refreshers

Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Strong safety record

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Positive and proactive attitude with willingness to learn and support variety of projects

Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions

Lift and transport equipment with 50-75% fieldwork

Flexibility to work remote as long as candidate resides in Atlanta Metro area with occasional office visits
