Specialist, Media Sales
AMPP: Association for Materials Protection and Performance is seeking a Specialist in Media Sales. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new media revenue, growing existing advertising business, and achieving sales goals for all AMPP media products within a designated territory.

Responsibilities
Prospecting, researching, and identifying new business for advertising revenues in AMPP publications, websites, and digital products through innovative, strategic, and consultative selling
Maintaining existing advertising customer relationships through calls, video conferences/meetings, personal contact at industry events and client visits
Achieving monthly revenue goals by presenting advertising solutions and driving sales across multiple platforms to prospects, advertisers, and their agencies at all hierarchical levels
Building a comprehensive sales strategy by identifying customers needs based on their marketing goals and objectives to grow new and existing revenue streams designed to promote industry related products and services to AMPP audience
Developing and actively working a monthly prospect list, identifying sales opportunities, following an established sales process, and working to convert prospects to customers. All notes, activity, meetings, and calls are documented in the established sales contact management system designated by publishing group
Partnering with publishing and other AMPP departments to deliver impactful brand-building strategies growing the AMPP brand beyond current industry
Developing and maintaining communications in an effective and professional manner with all levels of AMPP staff, members, and customers to ensure a positive corporate image, teamwork, and attainment of AMPP goals
Maintaining a keen understanding of the latest media trends and metrics through ongoing training internally and externally
Qualification
Required
Service-oriented business professional with strong relationship-building skills
Results-oriented and creative problem solver
Minimum of six years experience in advertising, events, or publication sales
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to develop and interpret business graphs
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
Must possess a specific level of communication skill both verbal and written
Ability to work in a multitask environment taking into account various external factors and to communicate efficiently and accurately to both managers/supervisors and subordinate staff
Must be computer literate with knowledge and experience in word processing and spreadsheet softwares
Ability to learn and use association specific software
30% travel is expected for this role and a passport is required
Customer visits are required
