Responsibilities
Design and implement LLM-based agents capable of reasoning, planning, tool use, and multi-step execution
Build and maintain agent frameworks, including both single-agent and multi-agent systems
Develop robust prompting strategies, tool schemas, and function-calling interfaces
Integrate agents with internal systems, APIs, databases, and external services
Implement evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops to continuously improve performance
Optimize systems for latency, accuracy, reliability, and cost across multiple models and providers
Collaborate closely with product and engineering to ship quickly and iterate based on real usage
Qualification
Required
Strong experience building with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar)
Proficiency in Python (TypeScript a plus) with production-grade engineering practices
Experience with agentic workflows, tool-calling, RAG, or autonomous systems
Experience working with complex documents (e.g., PDFs, diagrams, technical files)
Solid understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases
Comfort designing systems that balance correctness, speed, and scalability
Ability to operate in ambiguity, move fast, and make pragmatic tradeoffs
Preferred
Startup or early-stage company experience
Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or custom systems)
Background in ML systems, applied NLP, or MLOps
Experience building evaluation harnesses or LLM observability tooling
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
