Postdoctoral Research Associate
Texas A&M University is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Dr. Dravid’s lab in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This role will contribute to groundbreaking research on how glutamate receptors influence neurological conditions, utilizing advanced techniques and leading experiments to publish impactful findings.

Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting experiments to address the role of glutamate receptors in the central nervous system using a multidisciplinary approach
Performs various techniques such as electrophysiology, in vivo manipulations, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, drug discovery and behavioral analysis
Uses electrophysiology, molecular biology, and drug discovery to answer the research questions
Compile reports for publication and funded or future grant applications
Publishes research findings in peer reviewed journals
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Appropriate PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, or related areas
If the degree has not been conferred at the time applicant applied for a postdoc position, a letter needs to be attached from the school's official Graduate Office and/or Registrar's Office certifying that all requirements for the degree have been met and stating the degree conferral date
Preferred
Ph.D. in neuroscience, pharmacology, or related areas
Expertise in electrophysiology, drug discovery, or protein biochemistry and structural biology techniques are encouraged to apply
