This role involves contributing to multiple ongoing cases and collaborating with other attorneys to develop expertise in employment and labor litigation.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Support Employment & Labor attorneys with ongoing matters
Assist with civil and state litigation tasks (e.g., interrogatories, deficiency letters, discovery requests)
Report to the office as needed
Take ownership of cases as experience grows
Potentially make court appearances as experience grows
Qualification
Required
active New York State attorney's license, in good standing
3-5 years of civil and/or state litigation experience
strong knowledge of civil and state litigation procedures
Strong collaboration skills and be comfortable working independently
Must be a motivated self-starter
Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks
Critical thinking skills and ability to retain complex work direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites
Ability to work on-site in New York City as needed
Preferred
experience in a government or public sector practice
background in labor and employment law
experience with discovery requests and document review
