Senior Intelligent Automation Developer

Responsibilities

Apply intelligent automation principles, theories, and concepts to complex analytical processes
Plan, develop and implement automation-engineering solutions using Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or UiPath
Review source code, documentation, reports from users, and other technical artifacts
Deploy automation components including: Bots, agents, development tools, code repositories, and scripts
Monitor and adjust deployed automation solutions for optimal efficiency. Support existing RPA, agentic AI, and PowerApp solutions when issues arise
Support project plans, establish scope, cost and schedule estimates
Mentor junior Intelligent Automation Developers
Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and security standards
Remain current on Agentic AI and process automation technology and best practices
Define strategic direction in assigned areas
Ensure compliance with INL’s safety, security, environmental, health and quality assurance requirements

Required

Level 3: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 5 years in IT; or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 2 years in IT; or 11 years of IT experience in lieu of degree
Level 4: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 9 years in IT; or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 6 years in IT; or 15 years of IT experience in lieu of degree
A minimum of 2+ years in RPA development (Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or UiPath)
1+ years building agentic AI solutions and integrating AI into RPA solutions
Experience with libraries of reusable code objects, code reviews, production automations
Experience interacting with non-technical partners
Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, or others
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'L' clearance, which requires US Citizenship

Preferred

4+ years in RPA development (Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or UiPath)
