Responsibilities
Creating a variety of written, visual and digital communications to help promote the school of nursing, advance its mission and strategic plan, and build community
Managing the school’s social media accounts, including working with the communications director to develop and execute social media content strategy
Closely monitoring social media metrics to measure success and adapt the social media content strategy as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related area and three or more years of directly related experience and/or equivalent experience / training
Minimum of three years of experience managing social media platforms and building online communities
Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of writing, grammar, syntax, style, and punctuation
Thorough knowledge of appropriate editorial style and publication guidelines
Thorough skills to write clear, lively, engaging and compelling copy in a variety of styles appropriate to target audiences and / or the broader public, while ensuring adherence to the location's message
Knowledge of computer applications for publishing, image handling, and / or web production
Thorough research and fact verification skills
Thorough interpersonal communications skills, including active listening and effective collaboration skills
Thorough analytical and critical thinking skills
Thorough attention to detail, project management and organizational skills
Skill to maintain confidentiality
Preferred
Thorough knowledge of the location, including its mission, goals, achievements, infrastructure, programs, and policies
