BSW Program Director

Responsibilities

Devote, at minimum, 35% effort to the administrative aspect of the position
Oversee the undergraduate social work program
Participate in campus recruiting/orientation events
Make determinations on transfer course equivalency issues
Address student-related issues
Plan and facilitate BSW student orientations
Assist in course schedule development
Provide advising support and advising for social work students
Assist in conducting graduation audits
Oversee the required BSW admissions process for pre-social work majors
Teach courses each semester as a regular part of the workload
Serve on School and University-level committees
Annual updates of the BSW Student Handbook
Review content for BSW website
Annual CSWE report generation
Required accreditation and five-year review reporting

Qualification

MSW degreeClinical social work licensureTeaching experienceAdministrative experienceInclusive culture contribution

Required

MSW from an accredited social work program
Five years of post-master's social work experience
Ability to contribute to a welcoming and inclusive culture
Embodiment of social work's core values of service, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence

Preferred

Licensure as a clinical social worker
Prior teaching experience in higher education
