Senior Recruiter (temporary)

Absurdventures is seeking an experienced Full-Cycle Recruiter for a 6-month temporary engagement. The role involves managing end-to-end recruiting across various disciplines and partnering with hiring managers to ensure a high-quality hiring experience.

Responsibilities

Own full-cycle recruiting for a range of roles across game development, creative, production, and corporate functions
Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, hiring priorities, and team needs
Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including direct outreach, networking, and pipeline building
Screen resumes, conduct recruiter interviews, and coordinate interview loops with candidates and internal teams
Manage candidate communication throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive and professional experience
Facilitate offer preparation, compensation alignment, and offer delivery in partnership with leadership
Coordinate and support onboarding for new employees, including first-day readiness, documentation, and cross-functional handoffs
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations
Support a seamless handoff at the end of the engagement, including documentation of open roles and active pipelines

Required

Proven experience as a full-cycle recruiter, ideally within game development, media, or entertainment environments
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced startup setting
Strong sourcing, screening, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
Ability to work on-site in the office every day
Availability to commit to a temporary, full-time role for approximately 6 months

Preferred

Experience recruiting for game development or creative production roles
Familiarity with startup or early-stage company hiring environments
Background in HR, People Operations, or employee experience, including onboarding or employee support
Experience using Greenhouse
