Network Integration Modeling - Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

Developing, creating and leading aircraft network interface models is the primary responsibility including software configuration, hardware configurations, and system interfaces
SysML Modeling in MagicDraw/Cameo
Developing, creating, and leading Aircraft Network, health awareness, and compute configurations
Leading team members in the development of incremental lab and flight test Network Integration Models
Working with program IPTs and Suppliers to iterate on data design
Working with suppliers on network integration tooling development
Utilize data/functional architecture models to integrate software and hardware
Validate and verify system data paths
Troubleshoot and resolve system integration/verification issues
Coordinate with Internal and External IPTs, suppliers, and peers to generate and execute projects/design plans and reviews
Manage and coordinate issues, problem reports and change requests to closure
Coordinate design changes and deliveries with Safety, Security and Certification organizations
Ensure timely delivery of systems data, systems requirements, integrated validation/verification activities, and issue resolution
Escalate issues that need additional engineering or business leadership assistance in a timely manner

Required

Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required
Mechanical or Other Engineering degrees may be considered with applicable experience
At least 10 years of experience creating aircraft network interface models including software, hardware and system interfaces
Experience in developing experience managing or designing with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience leading teams to completion of projects
Ability to gain and maintain US Secret Clearance
Experience with MBSE tools (such as CAMEO Magic Draw) and CM tools (such as 3DX and Enovia)
Reporting and tracking of earned value/metrics
Experience in creating integrated schedules
Experience working in an embedded SIL or Avionics Lab environment
Able to communicate directly with senior leadership inside and outside the company
Self-motivated and able to track and report performance to cost and schedule
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred

Experience working with ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, AFDX and or TSN is a plus
Experience with Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) is a plus
