Responsibilities

Adherence to our quality management system

Perform and support in‑process inspection, final quality control, and receiving inspection

Review and maintain FAIs, control plans, and inspection documentation

Promote a Quality Culture

Champion Winchester’s quality culture while helping build a strong, engaged department

Support and maintain awareness of all safety policies and procedures

Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams

Experience working with drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and departmental procedures

Understanding of general dimensioning and tolerancing GDT principles and application to inspection

Basic knowledge of statistical process methods, tools and application to manufacturing control

Proficiency with mechanical inspection equipment such as micrometers, drop gauges, pin gauges

Programming of optical metrology systems Keyence and OGP preferred

Effective use of microscopes (10–40x) to identify workmanship defects

Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate inspection records

Actively participate on behalf of the quality team both internally and externally on new projects, contract review for quality requirements, RMA’s, CAR’s, production support and general customer service support

Have a positive, engaged attitude that's easy to work with and aligns with our culture

Use and help document best practices for quality inspection

Capture tribal knowledge into appropriate written documents

Support the maintenance of inspection criteria and control plans to ensure conformance

Identify areas to invest in support of future growth

Continually seek ways to increase throughput and increase repeatability of the inspection process
